Panel fencing or mesh fencing?
We have built a house - what next?
The construction of a fence around the property will sooner or later come up for every builder building their dream home. Some people secure the construction site at the beginning of the building process, often erecting a makeshift fence which is dismantled and replaced with a proper one once the construction is complete. And others leave (if there is an option, of course) the construction site unsecured and decide to build the fence after the house is completed. This is so as not to damage the fence and expose it to dirt.
Panel fencing or mesh fencing?
Choosing the type of fence is not easy, the multitude of offers and proposals on the market can make a layman's head spin. We can choose panel fencing, mesh fencing, palisade fencing... We are free to choose our materials and we can have a fence made either of stainless steel or aluminium or wood.
And to top it all off, a gate and a wicket still need to be installed. And here, too, there is a dizzying array of colours.
We have:
- sliding gates,
- gates made of aluminium
- stainless steel gates,
- wrought iron gates
- swing gates.
As if that wasn't enough, manufacturers of gates and fences offer the option of choosing any colour of the gate from the RAL palette. For those who know a thing or two about the RAL palette, it goes without saying that the palette has thousands of colours. So what to do now? First of all, assess your budget and the size of the area to be enclosed. Make a good estimate taking into account not only the material itself, but also all the tools or screws that you will need. It is often the case that the cost of, for example, screws can come as a surprise. Every additional and unplanned expense can put us further away from completing this investment. This is the basis for further research. If we have a considerable amount of money for the construction of a fence, we are free to look among premium offers, i.e. aluminium or stainless steel fences and gates, with full automation and a bespoke design made to the customer's specifications.
Unfortunately, some people have to stick to a set budget and cannot afford to go crazy. However, it is important to remember that you are making a fence for years to come and often choosing the cheapest option is not the best choice.
One of the cheaper and probably most popular solutions in Poland is mesh fencing or panel fencing.
What are the differences Panel fencing and mesh fencing?
Mesh fencing is certainly the most common type of fencing in Poland. The most frequently cited reason for buying mesh for fencing is its price and the properties it has. Mesh fencing can be made in-house, which also makes this type of fencing more attractive. The mesh must have a high resistance to mechanical damage and weather conditions. For this to be the case, the mesh must be galvanised or coated with plastic. To some, mesh fencing does not look modern and it is difficult to disagree. For those who feel this way and do not have large sums of money for another fence, a panel fence is often a better choice, with its high aesthetics of construction and high durability. Panel fencing can be hot-dip galvanised or galvanised and powder coated in a RAL colour of your choice. This certainly gives panel fencing a big advantage over mesh. It is possible to personalise our fencing and adapt it to our surroundings.
What kind of fences can be found in the surrounding area? It depends, of course, on where we live. In the countryside, in the city or in a suburban area. The fence has to fit in with the surrounding fences of neighbouring properties, but also with our house. You need to weigh up all the pros and cons when deciding on a fence.
Deciding on the type of fencing is a difficult decision, but on the scale of building your own home, probably not the most difficult one you will face.
