Unusual entrance gates
The availability of gates and the multitude of designs in each price range is huge. Entrance gates can be purchased from popular DIY stores or ordered from gate manufacturers such as ourselves. In both cases, we will get a product that we can easily and without major problems install in most typical fences. In addition, we can choose the colour and type of infill we are interested in, which makes it easy to match the gate to the character of the house and the surrounding buildings.
Unusual situations around the house and the gate
The problem arises if our fence line is small, we don't have space along it for a sliding gate leaf, and we don't have enough distance from the building to the fence to be able to fit a swing gate. We will face an even bigger problem if our driveway is sloping, and the slope is made from the house towards the fence. According to building law, the fence must not open outwards, i.e. towards the road, but towards the inside of the property.
There are quite a few situations like this where we have to look for non-standard solutions and we very often get requests to make such gates.
Unusual entrance gates
If our plot of land is too small and there is no room for a gate leaf, be it a sliding gate (i.e. along the fence) or even a swing gate (i.e. we have too little distance between the house and the fence) there is an interesting solution, which we present in the video and in the photos.
Folding gate for a small driveway
Folding gate, otherwise known as a bifold gate, because we are talking about it, is a gate whose panels fold to one side. There are several options - the gate can fold to two sides, so that we are able to get quite a large entrance light - up to 5mb or, for smaller properties, to one side.
Sliding and swing gate
Another option not seen every day is the combination of two doors - swing and industrialwhich converge to a single post. This is the solution we most often encounter when entering a company, warehouse or storage area, but it is good to know that this option also exists. The section with a swinging leaf can be used as a wicket.
Gate rising above sloping driveway
If our driveway is sloping and a standard gate would snag on it when opening, we also have a solution for this situation.
