Industrial gates - what type of gate to choose?
Industrial gates are gates that are designed to secure a company's property, to act as a barrier to uninvited guests, but they also often become the company's business card (they are the element that we first see when entering or driving onto a company's premises).
Industrial door is a complex product that you would be hard pressed to find in a popular DIY store. These doors are made to special orders, for specific dimensions, and the tasks they face are different to those faced by doors for individual customers. Therefore, the solutions (e.g. automation) used in industrial doors are and must be different. In order to explain the difference between these gates in a nutshell, it is worth considering how many times a day a gate is opened in a single-family house and how many times a gate is opened in a production plant or the entrance gate of a residential area.

Industrial doors - available solutions
Depending on the space you have around the gate, we can offer different products. The most popular solution is a sliding gate, but you can also install a swing gate or what is known as a mixed system - a swing-sliding gate.
Industrial sliding gates
As we have already written, this is the most frequently chosen type of entrance gate, not only by private customers. Its main advantage is the large entrance area with the simultaneous lightness of the whole structure. Thanks to the use of two sliding gate wings mounted on opposite sides, we obtain an entrance of up to several dozen metres in size. This solution can be found at airports or production sites with heavy truck traffic.
Of course, in order to improve the operation of such gates, we recommend fitting an automation - the type is adapted to each gate individually and is dependent, for example, on the weight of the gate or the number of times it is opened and closed during the day.
Another important aspect is the infill of the door. The type of infill depends mainly on the function the gate is to fulfil. If it is an entrance gate to a warehouse, production hall or factory, a mesh or fence panel infill is certainly sufficient. However, if the gate is to have a representative character, it is worth considering the use of a different filling - here we recommend palisade, aluminium or stainless steel filling. These solutions are more expensive, but they have a longer lifespan of the materials used.
Industrial swing gates
The use of a swing gate will not allow as large an entrance light as in the case of a sliding gate, but as long as the space in front of the gate allows, there is no objection to using this solution in industrial areas as well.
The filling of such a swing gate is no different from a sliding gate and we propose:
- mesh filling
- infill of fence panels
- panel filling
- aluminium infill
- stainless steel infill
and any other proposed by the client, e.g. wooden.
For industrial hinged gates, we recommend automation for easy control. For our part, we recommend automation from Beninca or the German company Elka.
Sliding industrial gates and swing gates are two of the most popular solutions chosen by our customers. To encourage you to make use of our offer we would like to add that we use the best materials and the quality of our gates is of paramount importance to us. The materials we use are certified and each gate is tested in our plant before installation or dispatch.
